    Student Application Process

    Our central Summer Student Program database contains 11 different application forms that students can submit, based on the nature of summer student work that the Government of Saskatchewan offers. Students can submit one or multiple application forms depending on their interests, qualifications, and experience, and will receive a confirmation email once each application form is submitted.

    Primary Duties:

    • Deliver, promote and evaluate interpretive and recreational programs and special events to park visitors which include school groups and the general public;
    • Lead groups in park programs, while tactfully and politely communicating park rules and management messages;
    • Promote awareness of parks as special places with appreciation of our natural, heritage and cultural resources. Disseminate information and respond to inquiries related to the natural environment, cultural history, and area and park facilities;
    • Perform general upkeep of and ensure safety and cleanliness of interpretive facilities and park trails.

    Job conditions:

    • Weekend and evening work is required.
    • A valid driver’s license is required.
    • A clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check are required.

    Assets:

    • An interest in Saskatchewan’s natural and cultural history, the outdoors and related hobbies;
    • Previous experience working with school groups and/or the general public in an interpretive, educational or recreational programming capacity.
    • Valid First Aid and CPR certificates.
