AI and Interpretation

February 29, 2024 - 2:00 pm EST

Members pay-what-you-can; Non-members $60

Join us for this engaging discussion, where PD committee members Jacquie Gilson and Sandi Stewart will lead us through a series of guided questions as we explore AI in interpretation. Natalie Gilson, Head of Ocean Science Communications at Pisces Research Project Management, will be on hand to share her insights and experiences about how to make the most out of ChatGPT. The session will focus in particular on ways that this technology can help us to improve our workflow, and how interpreters can use it with the greatest impact. Questions may include: What experiences do you have using Artificial Intelligence in your work? What role do you see AI playing in shaping the future of interpretation? In what ways do you think AI can enhance collaboration and communication within interpretation? This session will not be recorded, but we will use Menti.com as our whiteboard to capture ideas.
