Dialogic Interpretation at the Arctic’s Edge!
PD Webinar; Members pay-what-you-can; Non-members $60
December 12, 2023 – 9:00 am PST, 12:00 pm EST, and 1:00 pm AST
Join Olivia Masters as we dive into the captivating world of dialogic interpretation in the heart of Tombstone Territorial Park in the Yukon. Explore the transformation of two guided hikes as they become the canvas for a narrative shift, a dance of ideas, and a symphony of voices echoing through the Arctic winds. Witness the evolution: a spring training session with Dr. Jacquie Gilson, a program revamp, delivery in the 2023 season, and an insightful evaluation. This isn't just a presentation—it's an invitation to a dialogue that spans across time zones. Olivia Masters has worked for Yukon Parks since 2008. She started as an interpreter for the Celebrating Yukon Parks program, moving to Tombstone Territorial Park in 2010. Olivia is now the park’s interpretive supervisor, working with a team of six other interpreters.
