It’s difficult (if not impossible) to separate the human experience from storytelling. We have a fundamental need to connect with each other and ourselves through the sharing of stories. They are the tool we use to make sense of our lives, experiences, events in history and the world around us. Stories, like interpretation itself, help us make meaning of the world.

Interpretation Canada’s 2022 National Conference in Halifax explores the connection between interpretation and storytelling through presentation and discussions on this broad topic. 

ANSM registration includes Monday keynote, Monday Awards Reception, and Tuesday Concurrent Sessions. 

• Monday: Conference Opening reception and Kickoff keynote
• Tuesday: Concurrent sessions*
• • *Note that concurrent sessions on Tuesday will be held in Fortress 'casemates' at the Halifax Citadel, and there may be occasional sounds of rifle or cannon fire outdoors.
